For decades, wallpaper has been the leading wall cladding material. Now, to choose wallpaper, it is enough to go to a store where not one or two types of wallpaper are presented - there are just a myriad of them.

So what types of wallpaper do modern manufacturers offer?

➨ Paper-based wallpaper is an inexpensive and affordable segment of wallpaper. If you are a fan of constantly updating the design of your home, then this is the perfect option for you. There are two types of paper-based wallpapers - simplex and duplex. Simplex is one-layer wallpaper and duplex is two-layer. They are convenient in many ways, including the ease of pasting. Paper-based wallpaper is used to cover rooms with a low level of pollution and air humidity - bedrooms, living rooms, nurseries, offices.

➨ Vinyl wallpaper is a paper-based vinyl covering with good performance. They come in different densities. They look pretty nice on the walls. Vinyl wallpapers are voluminous (foamed) and kitchen (washable).

Voluminous wallpaper has a relief, not smooth, surface of various textures. Despite the fact that the rolls themselves look huge, they are quite light and gluing will not cause much concern. Such wallpapers are also applicable for living rooms.

Washable wallpaper is also called vinyl kitchen wallpaper. The name speaks for itself. They are pasted over the kitchen walls. The surface of this wallpaper has a water-repellent effect, that is, even the wall near the sink, where water cannot be avoided, is not exposed to moisture. Small dirt can be easily removed with a damp sponge.

➨ Non-woven wallpaper is a relatively new word in wallpaper production. In general, non-woven fabric is used in sewing clothes to strengthen and form fabric. If you do not go into details, then non-woven wallpaper is produced by pressing paper and fabric fibers, as a result of which a durable and abrasion-resistant material is obtained. Non-woven wallpaper can be re-painted. By the way, many masters recommend this type of wallpaper because of the ease of working with it. When pasting walls with non-woven wallpaper, you apply the adhesive to the wall, not the wallpaper. It really simplifies and speeds up the process of work.

➨ Wallpaper for painting is suitable for creative improvisers. They are produced on different bases, but most often on non-woven. They are both embossed and smooth. Such wallpapers, as a rule, are only white. They can be dyed up to 7 times. Such wallpapers will give you the opportunity to show your artistic ideas, and the whole apartment will serve as a canvas! You can, for example, create a story of graffiti on the walls, and when you want something new, changing the design of the walls is easy.

It is possible to paint the walls after pasting with such wallpaper in 1-2 days so that the glue dries well.

➨ Liquid wallpaper is sold as a dry mixture, which should be diluted with water and applied to the walls with a spatula. The variety of colors and, in some cases, the presence of glitter will give your walls a great look, and you can apply them yourself.

Important!

  • If you buy washable wallpaper, pay attention to the instructions that the manufacturer indicates on the label. It indicates how you can wash the wallpaper, that is, with a wet or well-wrung out sponge
  • In order for the wallpaper to look good, the walls should be well prepared and primed

On our site you will find many options, textures and colors of these types of wallpaper, as well as adhesives, paints for painting and applying graffiti, brushes and other necessary equipment.
