PFP heating circuits with protective braiding are intended for surface installation as pipe frost protection. The circuit is made of a two-wire cable, it has a 1.5 m connecting wire terminated with a plug (fork). An attached thermostat is located at the junction of the connecting wire and the heating part of the cable, which switches on when the temperature drops below +3 °C and switches off when the temperature reaches +10 °C. PFP circuits do not replace thermal insulation, they serve to compensate for heat leaks through the insulation, which cannot be completely prevented. Pipes with PFP cable should therefore always be provided with suitable thermal insulation.
